Why It’s Important To Bring A Professional Female Athlete:
As well as inspiring the women of Australia, the representation of a professional female athlete at this event also aids in changing the attitudes of those who have been conditioned to believe that males are always superior to females in extreme sports.
WoSP will be conducting a skills auction to assist in fundraising for Wam Jam, with a private 1 on 1 flips workshop with Sydney Olson being auctioned off. It is anticipated that this will be the highest-bid skill. Sydney has also very generously offered to teach two further freerunning workshops, which are guaranteed to be the most sought-after workshops at WAM JAM.
Sydney Olson is one of the best female parkour & freerunning athletes in the world. In 2019, Sydney placed first in the Redbull Art of Motion, and the Skill & Style divisions at NAPC. She is constantly pushing the limits of parkour and freerunning both for herself and for the sport.
