"Parkour Is For Everyone"
- A Talk By Rachael
Friday 20th March 5:30~6:00pm

Parkour often has a reputation for being a daredevil sport, so dangerous that only the bravest, muscliest men dare to try it. But at its heart, Parkour  is about personal growth, creative movement, overcoming fears, and finding a path through obstacles that works for you.

In this talk, Rachael (who lives with physical and mental health conditions) will explore why Parkour practitioners aren’t always who you might think. Across the world, women, elderly people, children, people with disabilities, and even pregnant people are finding strength, freedom and adaptability in this physical discipline.

We highly recommend listening to this talk before joining into our beginners parkour workshops. This talk does not require booking or registration. Find the exact location in the Full Itinerary on the home page.

Rachael Stanic

Rachael knew she'd love parkour when she first saw it on YouTube at 13, but it would be another 10 years before she finally got to try a class. Now in her fourth year of training, she thinks it's a perfect balance between physical workout, mental challenge and creative expression.

Rachael also lives with chronic illnesses and finds that, despite its daredevil reputation, parkour is more accessible and adaptable than many would assume. She hopes she can be an example that anyone can enjoy this sport and feel welcome in the awesome community that comes with it.
