The last 48 hours have been somewhat chaotic regarding COVID-19 within Australia. Restrictions and precautions have been put in place by the Australian government prohibiting events or gatherings over 500 people. We also are being asked to ensure we are practicing "social distancing" by staying more than 1.5m away from others at all times. 

 

Although WAMJAM is not anticipated to have more than 500 people turn up, maintaining social distancing is quite difficult with all the workshops we have planned, and the nature of our training in general.

 

Unfortunately, due to the mandatory 14 day isolation restrictions for international travellers, our international guests and attendees miss out on the event. Following this, the WAMJAM organisers have been in discussions, and it is with heavy hearts that we announce it is in everyone's best interest to postpone WAMJAM until further notice.

 

This was not a decision that was made lightly, and we are deeply disappointed to inform you that this event is not proceeding at this time. 

 

For all our domestic travellers, we believe airlines are offering travel credit / refunds so we highly encourage you to look into that ASAP. If you have any issues or concerns with changing your flights, or you're still coming to Sydney this weekend anyway, please don't hesitate to get in touch with us and we will see what we can do for you.

 

As you can imagine, we have been working tirelessly for several months to organise this event, and we apologise for the immense inconvenience that COVID-19 has inflicted on us all. Stay tuned though, the event hasn't been cancelled, and we’ll make it up to you by holding an amazing event later on this year.
